About Printronix
Printronix was first established in 1974 in Playa del Rey, California. A year later, they released their first Matrix printer, the Printronix P300. Leading up to their initial public offering in 1976, Printronix was met with great growth and success, slowly expanding their product portfolio with new printers. Through the 1980’s and 1990’s, Printronix saw overseas expansion into foreign markets in countries such as Holland and Singapore. During the early 2000’s, Printronix continued to release new products, expand overseas, as well as began to acquire other businesses. In 2008, Printronix returned to being a private company after being acquired by Vector Capital. Printronix was later reacquired by Corona Investments, and continued to release their Matrix printer line during this time. In 2014, Printronix entered the industrial mobile printing market with a new product, the M4L. Currently, Printronix continues to develop their line of line Matrix printers with enterprise grade printing solutions.
